Newest Selection of Custom Drapes

At National Hospitality, we have offered custom draperies for many years but we recently added new pattern and color options that we are very excited about! We’ve chosen a variety of patterns ranging from basic and non-descript to bold contrasting prints and beautiful tone on tone designs. Each pattern is available in 3 to 9 colorway options. In total, we have over 70 different options for you to choose from!

The majority of our draperies are 100% polyester and flame-retardant (passing NFPA 701 testing). They all feature hand-folded 3-finger pinch pleats on a 3.5” buckram header, 4” bottom and 1.5” side hems. They come corner-weighted and pre-pinned for immediate hanging!

Planning and Ordering

If you have been online, seen the many options for custom draperies and clicked into one of the listings for more information, it can look a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of information to read. And for good reason: the process has many variables and requirements. But with the proper planning and guidance, we can assure you will be more than satisfied with your finished product.

One thing many people don’t realize is that all of our draperies are custom made. We have them made just for you! They are made to order to your specifications and for that reason, can take approximately 6 weeks for production. This is the reason draperies are non-cancelable and non-returnable. And it’s also why proper prior planning is so important. We encourage you to take a look at the draperies and pick a few pattern and color options that you would like to see. Then give us a call to request your free samples! Once you receive your samples and decide on an option, you will need to gather some other basic information.

Be ready to provide the following information:

• How many windows do you need to cover?
• How many windows are the same size?
• Will you be mounting your draperies to existing rods or will you be purchasing rods?
• If mounting to existing rods, are the rods attached to the wall or the ceiling?
• Do you need your draperies to open with a traverse string (located on one side of the drapery) or with a baton?
• Will your draperies be single panel (opening to one side) or will they be double panel (with a center split and opening to the outsides of the window)?
• What color and pattern do you want?

Accurate Measurements Key to Satisfaction

Now you’re ready for the most important step in the ordering process: Measurements. Starting with the proper measurements is key and you always want to error on the side of caution by rounding up. If you are online, please view the guide at the bottom of any drapery listing to view the proper procedure for obtaining accurate measurements. If you’re in the catalog, you can see the drapery measuring guide that is contained in the blue box. Be sure to write down all of the measurements that you take. I would also encourage you to double check your measurements after you’ve written them all down. I firmly believe in the old phrase, “Measure twice, cut once”. If you start with the wrong measurement you will end up with the wrong cut.

Here is the measurement chart (below) located on every drapery listing. It is key to note that there are separate procedures for when rods are not installed and when they are installed. If you are looking to replace your current in-room drapery, look at “After Rods Are Installed” to determine how wide and long your current drapes are.
